Flash Catalyst Ideas
Tags: I used to use an app called Xtivity (no coding). You could create an Action Sequence by having a component move along a freeform path that you draw on the canvas using the Bezier tools. This allows you to make an object move in any direction; going around curves, loops, spirals, waves, etc. Xtivity features a unique trigger system that works along the Bezier path you use with this action. You can setup Anchor Points along the path that will fire Anchor Triggers when the object that is moving along the path reaches a point on the path. The Anchor Triggers can be used to activate any action on any object in the project such as opacity, resize, rotate, movement speed, etc. By incorporating this powerful feature into Flash Catalyst, will allow complex motion design all within 1 state. Also, it allowed you to specify the orientation of a component as it travels along a path. Example: have a trianglular point of a triangle always point in the direction of travel. |

It looks like currently you are only allowed to see the Application states, and the componenet states of anything that is currently nested within your custom component.
The problem that I have is that when a button is pressed within component 1, I want to not only change the Application State, but I want to adjust the state of component 2 (not nested in component 1) based on the button pressed.
If we were allowed to see all of the components (and their states) when using the Interactions Panel, this would solve this issue.

Tags: codeview editablecodeview Please, I would like to be able to make small editing in code view directly in Catalyst, à la Dreamweaver, without being forced to open the Flash Builder for it. Right now is the code view in Catalyst not editable. |

I was quite surprised when I made two mockups in Catalyst and tried to link them localy. It didn't work and it is not supported. Catalyst add a "http://" automatically at the beggining of the url.
It would be very good for testing to link external files localy and not only on internet. |

It is not possible now to simulate a drag and drop interaction with catalyst. It would be great to have a possibility to create this kind of interaction on a project without having to open Flash Builder and edit the code. |

Hello, |

Tags: No need to round trip anymore. One program, two modes.
At the very least, give users the ability to edit code in Flash Catalyst and use all Flash Builder components. |

Tags: Can we have a feature that can enable us make all sorts of scrollbar types instead of the usual vertical and horizontal scrollbars. This would give designers more creative freedom to creative very intersting stuff. We can have angular scrollbars, circular scrollbars, arc scrollbars, etc |

Tags: This feature is required beacuse FC presently cannot play animations such as slideshow in FC 5.5. The only slideshow that can be built must have a user interaction. ON APPLICATION interaction is only for loading a state on application load not on transition to a state. This is limiting and makes the tool turn everything we know about flash animation upside down in FC 5.5. Please can we have this in the next release. Thank you |
