I'm not shure if it's already possible, i know that it would work using the loading function, but to simplify it would be nice to have a possibility to load external text files into textfields. So you could update the content of the page without reexport it from catalyst and reload of the whole swf file to the server.
If one just could upload a database with a predefined format and just load it into the swf. (without further programming) Something like the datalist just without the selection tool. I just know this from microsoft access... you define the fields (repeated Item) and scroll the datasets. The creation of galleries and other dynamic functions would be easier because the content mustn't be loaded into catalyst. Go on! Catalyst's great! |

This is one thing that has been kinda annoying. When I want to change the alignment of a TextField, I have to actually get the text tool and click in the TextField to change the Alignment(left,center,right). I could understand this if you could set the alignment for different lines of text, but as far as I can tell, the alignment applies to the entire TextField. Just with the TextField selected I have access to all properties that are available with the Text Tool except for alignment.
Lastly, it would be nice if you could have the text set to be selectable. |

It would be great to be able to express the size of the text in % based on the browser setting... this way the user could increase the size of the text in his browser (population is getting older) and all of our text would be increased automatically.
If not, could you give us some variables (like minsize, medsize, maxsize, ...) that we could set to x px and change when ever we need/want (my idea would be to give buttons to the user to give him the possibility of increasing the size of the text if needed, ex: A A A ). |

Probably the fc team has already this in mind but as this was not available in the FC beta2 release, i though i could give a reminder
Some basic text alignment tools in the common properties of the component's parts should become handy. Like centering a label in a button, so that while changing the label parameter of a button, the label text should still be aligned. |

some languages are writen from right to left (hebrew in my case), I think its a good idea if you could add the option of changing the way the text is aligned in the text input component.
and while your are doing that aligning the text to the center could also be useful in some cases.
