Flash Catalyst Ideas
In a custom component, I should be able to define my own skin parts and not just states. This will make my component more resuable. For example, I might want to have an icon field in a custom button component. If I can make that icon field a skin part, then I would set the value of the skin part from the properties panel, just like label is set in this way. Limit the different types of skin parts that can be created but get the feature in. |

I saw a post a while back saying you guys were working on making the masking feature easier to use because it was hard to find according to the op (currently you have to make a separate custom component and enable something etc)
What I'm more concerned about is the flexibility of this feature. As of now you can't do nearly as much with a custom component enabled as a mask as you can in Flash with an actual mask. Complex and flexible masking would be an extremely helpful feature.
p.s. I would assume there might be naming issues to sort out as well as catalyst works with .psd, which uses the term mask in an entirely different way than as in Flash. |

Three things I'd absolutely love to see
1. Full custom skinning for the video player (custom full screen btn, volume slider, tracker, etc).
2. Audio player support (instead of having to work around by making a video without video) and full custom skinning for it.
3. The ability to embed video or audio, for example Vimeo
You guys are doing a great job so far, I love the program. |
