Hi,
I need to load in as3 an external project done in Flash Catalyst using the Loader class. However, the name property of the MovieClip and or component are generated from the base name of the component plus a number (eg. TextInput8), is it instead possible to use the name of the layer in Flash Catalyst. So that way I'll be able to get the child I want using the getChildByName() method instead of losing time trying to decode the exported swf project.

When I choose my SWF Asset to be assigned to more states than just State1, my whole SWF disappears when I test it with ctrl+enter. My SWF file plays 1 time, then its supposed to be were it went and act like an image. Did that with a little "close()" actionscript piece in my SWF.
Long story short, SWF Asset works in State1, but nothing works when shared with all other States.
Hope you guys understand what I mean because it's a big issue to me. |

When I try to import an swf file into a project, flash catalyst closes without warning. Fix SWF importing problems!!! |

This is the first time I've used a Flex or Flash program and been able to get going without any directions. Very smart concept, but there are a few essential things that would be very useful and, I believe, appreciated.
* The ability to select unused library items, to clear up unused content. * Being able to right click on a SWF (for example) and "edit in Flash." without having to re-import and redo timeline. * A more intelligent timeline so parts can be converted and swapped (like in Flash) without complication. * Being able to edit the html source in program and/or specify parameters, for example I manually added scrolling:no to mine; this sort of feature should be user friendly and most people expect this sort of thing. Those are the ones that cause me the most grief. :) |

It would be extremely useful when after importing an swf file into catalyst I could see the actual SWF and not just an icon representing it. Plus It would be also useful if I can customize it as well as far as the design/interactivity concerned. |

I think in case of web publishing it would be good that the designer can set already if the App should fit to the browser's window, or what should be the background image or its color of the outher area of the app's dimension if it is not autofit to the browser. |
