Should of reread my post. By "controlling" a parent's state, I mean being able to specify a transition to the state of a parent component when defining an interaction on its child.
Stupid me.
I totally agree with RobbeeHed. Drag&Drop looks like a "must be" to me, as it is a very common interaction. Ok, it does not compete with "button-click", but its relevant in a lot of applications, and thus, application prototypes. The absence of it would lead to other more time consuming, yet more realistic tools to achieve a valuable prototype.
