Wind turbines at sea can utilise the surrounding water to store the energy by using the energy to mechanically pull buoys beneath the surface to a depth and generate electrical power by letting them rise when the energy is wanted.

Buoys can be constructed of used tyres formed into cylinders and inflated. Having made such a buoy I know that it works.  We have many millions of used tyres (or for the U.S. "tires") these can be put to use as an energy store.

The energy can be stored until needed later in the day or even months later. The wind speed does not need to be sufficient to generate but a mere breeze can produce energy that is stored for use later.

Energy when wanted not at the whim of the wind.

This is a personal interest of mine. Imagine the product lifecycle being:

Research-Design-Development-Refinement-Manufacturing-Sales-Market-Retail-Customer Use-Death

Based from your experience, what types of creativity are found along this highly generic model.

When faced with economic hardship and dips in morale that the crisis mode generates, many depend on the most risk adverse and conservative behaviours; but these behaviors do not reverse the crisis, in fact they contribute to it. So, why not be mor audatious in times of crisis?

HOW CAN WE EACH ENCOURAGE BRAVE AND AUDATIOUS BEHAVIOR THAT SUPPORTS POSITIVE PROGRESS AND INNOVATION?

I wish we would pour half the energy we exert into building strategic weapons into green technology — that we would realize we only have one chance to save our planet.

Hello folks,

to make the introduction as flawless as possible here is the link to the ongoing project in Dresden:

http://mindbroker.de/wiki/LockSchuppen

It is meant to be a museum, coaching and working innovation hub where people meet to co-create the future:-)

Cheers,

Ralf

In France, creativity at school is only taught in artistic fields. There is no creativity method taught in others fields, or as a method for applied creativity. It is probably the same in others countries. And children are asked more and more to be flexible, adaptable, imaginative, etc.

The problem with creativity and innovation is often people operating on the false assumption that things never change, when in fact they do.

This is memorialized with quotes like "Some things never change" and "The more things change, the more they stay the same."

Many people draw a blank when you ask them for ideas about the future.  They are 'mind blind' to new possibilities.

But by asking them about past innovations... about tools they currently use that improve their life, you 'trick' them into realizing that things do change and often times they change for the better.

To paraphrase Ayn Rand, "The tiger has claws, a bird wings and man has his mind.  His mind is his means of survival."

This question reveals the truth that EVERY tool we use was once invented by a man or woman and reveals the possibility that there are many tools out there, still yet to be invented.

Open to ideas for encouraging those people who - for multiple reasons - will not speak up in a group situation or public arena to offer the benefit of their thoughts and ideas.

Also open to suggestions about how to re-inspire more ideas from participants when the first round of ideas "seems to" dry up during brainstorming-ideation sessions.

Targeting:

  • increasing the participation of women;
  • encouraging those people to speak who do not use English as their first language;
  • periodically giving those people an invitation who need a longer sense of conversational space for them to feel comfortable jumping into and contributing.

Creativity is normally associated with thinking outside the box.

Would it be possible for us to be creative in the box?

Would it be possible for us to use less to create?

How can we get the world's geometrically growing number of creativity/innovation consultants, writers, speakers, coaches, researchers to share, integrate, combine their efforts in order to truly make a significant difference around the globe.

How to get them/us to write on the internet?
