I've just realised this only happens when you import text from illustrator ( not to talk from Photoshop whitch screws up every import). Can anyone rectify this? About the timeline, I totally agree with you :). I keep on trying to re-order layers and stuff, i find it easier to arrange layers visually, in the order of the actions. didn't quite understand your first point. You can select stuff from the layers panel and delete it, altough if you delete something in one state, you delete it from other states. Or you can have acces to all of your created components in the costum component library (being used or not), and delete the ones you don't want to use.... Yes, with text objects is really anoying cause i'm portuguese and we have all these... ã â ç ... and so on and when i import it to FC the...thingys desapear and i have to resize every text box in order for them to apear. Once i imported a grouped object which had two layers and the obj had an effect. but FC considered it to be only one (but grouped) object with the effect. Well, catalyst has a scroller component :P which you can adapt to your own graphics what i meant was more like a button interacting with a different component, say an image slider, or some kind of animation, but instead of doing seperate catalyst projects and then mashing them up together in flex (flash builder), your have a big one with everything in it....kinda like a small flash project. You can probably do what i want in a different way, just have to figure out how altough not crutial hello! I would love to know where to find info on masking in catalyst! can't find it anywhere! In the animation timeline you can "control" your swf by right-clicking on top of your swf asset, the only problem is that those controls con't work yet....great!
