Thanks for the info! It got me started using the "set component state" action - which has solved several problems. Resizing has been discussed elsewhere and Adobe has stated that this issue will not be addressed in Release 1. I don't want dynamic bells and whistles but I agree that a minimum of scalability is an absolute prerequisite for putting an application online. S M L XL would be sufficient for assuring
readability across all conventional monitor sizes. One of the great things about FC is its simplicity and I don't think all Flash CS4 features should be retrofitted. That said, I agree that somewhat better tools should be available. My suggestions would include Lines: add hairline, dashed/dotted and double; Rectangles: independent settings for rounded corners; Shapes: separate alpha settings for fill and stroke (avoids object doubling). This effect can be achieved by starting with a transparent rectangle as the base for your custom component and building the rest (including interactions) on top. This is cumbersome and makes the stucture less tranparent - especially if you are already nesting custom components to avoid the current 20-page limitation. Also you can't do it retroactively. So yes, I would also like to see a change in this direction.
