I wish to record a connectnow session and download it in SWF format and upload it on YOUTUBE or similar

Many websites like YouTube use a Flash Video format that enables highly-compressed streaming video to effectively play in most browsers.
However, the inconvenience with this type of format is that you will not be able to download it by using your “Save target as” option.
There are currently three common ways available to download/capture/save streaming videos online to your computer:
1. Using download-helper websites (i.e. KeepVid, Youtube Downloader).
2. Capture the video using a Firefox extension (Firefox Video Downloader)
3. Save the video by using commercial software products (CamStudio, Replay AV, WM Recorder).

Even after downloading a video from YouTube using one of the options above you end up with a FLV file that needs to be converted into a format that most players including iTunes accept.
Alternatively you could buy special software like Winamp that is able to play FLV directly without conversion.
