When sharing a desktop screen, the host loses access to the menu bar. Along with it go the options to share/remove the microphone, access the whiteboard, and send files. The menu bar items should be available in the screen sharing pallette. If space is an issue, or a complete menu would ruin the interface design, a drop down list that provided all the options would suffice.

Make a video collaboration tool on Acrobat Connectnow to allow users to collaboratively edit a movie using similar tools as in Adobe Premiere or other commercial video editing software. If all of this was online it would be very easy to make videos for projects, etc. with friends without having them download software.

Allow videos to be uploaded either as files from a person's computer (.mov, .wmv, .mpg, .mp4, etc.) or from video sites like Youtube, Google Videos, etc. using just the link to the video. The exported video can also be exported into various formats and saved to the user's files or just directly downloaded to the user's computer.

The software does not have to use processing power on Adobe servers since flash can probably use hardware acceleration on client computers to process/convert videos, apply transitions, etc.

Even better would be to make the software work with Adobe AIR for more hardware use and offline use.

This would be really nice for collaborative video proj

Currently video and audio file formats such as .avi, .mov, .mp3, etc can not be uploaded for sharing. A workaround is to zip the files prior to uploading, and unzip after downloading. It would be great if this restriction could be removed.

ConnectNow/ Video Pod:

CURRENTLY:

There is no way to watch a video movie clip well in ConnectNow, though I can't count how many disasters of "watch this" I've seen in screen sharing, the video and audio are unwatchable... though somebody always tries :)

SUGGEST:

A Video Pod! Upload the clip, it buffers the video/audio for the viewer... HOOOOOOORAAAY!!!!!

Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 and Soundbooth CS4 let you convert spoken words into text transcripts, which you edit and search just like other metadata properties. This powerful technology lets you navigate to time locations at which specific words are spoken, helping you better align edits, advertising, and subtitles.  Many Adobe customers are probably very interested in creating videos with metadata that contain transcript information, because those videos become searchable.

Why not offering a service that allows users to upload video and audio material, which we would analyze using the same technology that Premiere Pro and Soundbooth use for their Convert Speech to Text Metadata  feature?
One output format could be a PDF with the original video/audo included at the top followed by the transcript in clear text. If the user plays the video/audo part of the PDF Acrobat could highlight the words in the text as they are spoken ("karaoke").
Another output format could be just the original video/a

Many websites like YouTube use a Flash Video format that enables highly-compressed streaming video to effectively play in most browsers.
However, the inconvenience with this type of format is that you will not be able to download it by using your “Save target as” option.
There are currently three common ways available to download/capture/save streaming videos online to your computer:
1. Using download-helper websites (i.e. KeepVid, Youtube Downloader).
2. Capture the video using a Firefox extension (Firefox Video Downloader)
3. Save the video by using commercial software products (CamStudio, Replay AV, WM Recorder).

Even after downloading a video from YouTube using one of the options above you end up with a FLV file that needs to be converted into a format that most players including iTunes accept.
Alternatively you could buy special software like Winamp that is able to play FLV directly without conversion.

Create PDF from YouTube could simplify this awkward workflow by downloading a se
