Tags: acrobat dates expiration pdf One of the biggest problems with the current implementation of the Internet is that information is not adequately dated for the purposes of search and understanding the relevance of information being viewed. For instance, an education page that discusses the Pythagorean theorem has no expiration date; the information is good foerver. However, a page that describes prices must have an effective date and an expiration date. Â PDFs should have effective date and expiration date fields in metadata. Moreover, when a user opens a PDF and the current system time is outside the effective date to expiration date range that the author has specified in Properties, the user should get an alert. Â Because many casual users are unfamiliar with Properties, and many PDFs are created through the print interface of a word-processing program, the interface for entering these two dates should be part of the Create/Save PDF process. Â The default effective date should be the current system date. The defa More... |

I am creating a document that will be finished using Acrobat 9 Pro.  The document will allow users to write their name in a single text field once, then everywhere else in the document the name will appear identically.  Acrobat does this already, but I would like to suggest adding a "LOCK & UNLOCK FIELD" feature in order to protect the field from further changes. To the end-user this would be "LOCKABLE" and "UNLOCKABLE" in Adober Reader.  I attached a simple example.  The designer will be able to choose where the lock goes. This would enable text and numbers to be locked down in Adobe Reader, when extended rights are applied. Please see my example and let me know what you think. More... |

Tags: adobe drm ebookreader pdf If anyone is familiar with Adobe's PDF + DRM format and using their reader for it, it would be great if there were some kind of integration, for example, being able to open it directly from the PDF reader on ACOM. |

I would like to see a preview of XFA-forms instead the error message "to view the full content of this file, you need a later version of the PDF Viewer ...". The message confuses users, that already have the latest version, because there is currently no viewer that can create a preview of XFA-forms. Â A opportunity to create a custom message for the users (text and/or image) will be ok too. Â Â |

I love that feature when I have a PDF on the acrobat.com then I can embed to a webpage. I think Adobe can continue developing this feature to make better: My ideas: - Embed password (not opening pwd) protected PDF - Embed code can connected better to the PDF. I would like to update my PDF then I do not need to update the embed code too. - Embed PDF can have custome size and custom color for the border (or templates) - Embed PDF can use some PDF feature like layers, play video, etc.. |
