This is actually multiple related ideas all rolled into one.
1. Often, there is a requirement to interview people and record the audio minutes. How about we import WAV / MP3 files into Buzzword and have them transcribed into text- I'd even settle for 60% accuracy since that's 60% less typing for me! Sub-idea: this could turn into a new method of mobile buzzword document creation; call the Buzzword toll-free number and speak into it. Your speech is transcribed and saved as a new document. 2. Export a document as a WAV / MP3 file. I have several documents that I need to read but I need to be on the move. It would be nice if Buzzword could export documents that I could carry on my ipod or phone. Again: minimum accuracy is fine. A gist of the ideas in the document is really what's needed. This may be similar to what the Adobe Reader does (it reads documents out loud). Hopefully, these ideas sound as exciting to you as they did inside my head :) |

Tags: blackberry buzzword doc files iphone mobile my pdf smartphone We've a long way to go before we have "true mobile" access (for iPhones, Blackberrys, etc). In the meantime, could we setup a server that acts as an interface between internet-enabled mobile devices and our documents stored on Adobe servers?
For example, mobile.acrobat.com could ask for an Arobat username and password and then provide access to download documents as PDFs (for minimum load otherwise DOCs would also be nice). This would work because most smartphones handle PDFs quite happily. I imagine it could be implemented faster than full-fledged read/write access and give us access to our valuable data on the move :) |
