Adobe has great products that at times lack or have subpar features. Collaboration with market leaders will ensure these features are at the forefront of technology. By using APIs, Adobe can integrate the features while letting the market leaders worry about improvments to the features.  For Example:  SKYPE: Use them to incorporate calling services into Adobe Connect. GOOGLE: Use them to incorporate file sharing, synchronization, mail and calendar.   |

Tags: gadget google notification How about a special system of notification through Google Gadgets for Gmail? A setting in Google Labs allows users to add a gadget by URL. If we could have a Buzzword gadget, it could give us popup reminders when we have updates to our documents.  This approach would prevent a barrage of emails when multiple changes are done to multiple documents.  Links: http://code.google.com/apis/gadgets/index.html  Similar ideas:     More... |

Tags: acrobat.com cs4 docs file flow google maker management project Ok, I really like Acrobat.com, but yet again its half a solution, I want one system that does it all. I like Apple because everything works together, and I like CS4 because everything plays nicely.
As a designer I'm after a Full Project Management System, I think all the bits are about they just need putting into one easy, customizable web app. Take a bit of Version Cue, add a little Acrobat.com with a pinch of Google Docs, a pinch a File Maker, mix with CS4, then bake online adding a database to taste. Server with a side of (Gridiron's) Flow! My dream system would: be online be secure manage project planning manage costs / times manage files / version client / supplier information Your thoughts please! |

I'd love to see a feature where I can open documents emailed to me directly in Buzzword. Imagine getting a word document in your gmail, and using a google gadget to send it straight to Buzzword, making changes and saving the document in your Buzzword account.
We could try to use the APIs here: http://code.google.com/intl/en/apis/gadgets/faq.html#WhatAreGadgets or --->Workaround<----- Users could have a Buzzword email account so that emails with attachments can be forwarded to it. The email account would be used ONLY for incoming messages (thus eliminating the possibility of spamming from a Buzzword account). |

Imagine having a file system where you can open document files in Buzzword, Google Docs, Zoho, or ANY other online document editor. With an offline AIR app, we could probably also open documents in OpenOffice and Word (or maybe an offline Buzzword editor). Acrobat.com can be a central place to store these files and the hub used to open, edit, and share them. This idea is similar to how Photoshop.com can share pictures with other services like Facebook. It'll be great start to opening up the web and working together, instead of being isolated and proprietary. |
