First of all, amazing program! I want to use this site more, but you seem to be missing a function we need. My firm is currently using a competitor of yours because of the capability to download a document, make edits to that document, then upload the changes to the document within a shared workspace without producing another file; that is, the edits are occurring on one document only and the uploading replaces the document that is currently on the site and the document is always shared. Your site doesn't seem to have this capability and every time I upload the changes to a document I simply produce another file which is inefficient and can be confusing to the people sharing the document.  Will you please add this function?  Your competit More... |

In Buzzword, I have an entire collection dedicated to "templates," What I've been doing is making documents, and treating them as templates...I duplicate the doc. when I need it. Â Is there any way for people to actually save docs as actual templates? |

My colleagues and I tend to collaborate on long documents. Sometimes we need to extract just 2 pages of an entire 20-30 page document and preserve our formatting, links and comments. Â How about a feature that allows us to export part of a document (selection) to PDF / DOC / etc? |

Tags: access collaborate collaboration comment content document files read reader read-only share sharing store I advocate Acrobat.com to all my clients as a way of storing, sharing and collaborating on content. Most are not experienced in IT so they struggle with some basics that us IT folks take for granted.  "Why do I have to send an email to let my colleague read the document"? is a common one.  So indeed, why not be able to give your colleagues read-only access to some or all of your files if you want their views? Well, because they might want to change the content and they do that in their own space. So why not use the Acrobat Reader approach and let them put sticky comments on it for you to edit, delete or accept as you see fit without creating multiple temporary documents in other file systems?  I can understand that I might have multiple clients files in my file space and I don't want one colleague or client to see stuff that's not for them, so that takes us into the ACL space, which might imply using a sledgehammer where one isn't needed. Perhaps a simpler, two-level authentica More... |

An Online Document Reader, with bookmarks (bookmarks history) and a color marker for marking particular section of lines of a document (pdf/doc) will be great. So, that whenever wherever its possible, we can continue with reading from where we stopped last time. Â |
