I would love to have an IM client that was tightly integrated with Acrobat.com.  Some use cases where I see this being useful:

1) File Organizer: there is a buddy list that is pre-populated with everyone I've interacted with on the site.  From this buddy list, it says if a user is online on Acrobat.com or not.  If they are online, I have the ability to initiate a text/voice/video chat with them or optionally invite them into a ConnectNow meeting or to view a document with me.  The experience from the File Organizer view would be similar to that in Gmail Chat.

2) Buzzword: While Viewing a Buzzword Document, I would see a list of my collaborators as I do today, but there would additionally be presence information and if the person was online I could initiate a chat with them and invite them to view the document with me so I could clarify any questions I had with them.  I would also love to receive automatic notifications such that if I am on the site, and someone comes to view or e

ConnectNow: Tabbed CHAT Pod!

CURRENTLY:

Attempt to manage one "private" chat without it getting lost in the "public" chat. (pulls out hair)

PROBLEM:

Observe you are stuck toggling between conversations with the dropdown menu, the messages are displayed one over the other and is very hard to manage.

*I've seen many "Private" replies go unPrivate on accident, because the person replying is defaulted to "Public" *sigh* :P

SUGGEST:

Tab per Conversation CHAT Pod! I MUST HAVE THIS!!!!! :-D

ConnectNow: //CODE CHAT

CURRENTLY:

CHAT Pod has a very basic messenger functionality.

SUGGEST:

Adding the ability to toggle from regular CHAT to "CODE CHAT", where you could toggle the dropdown menu, select the type of "CODE" you want to talk about. (ex. Actionscript 3) and the CODE CHAT pod can format the color and other basic functionality of the CODE view you are used to seeing in (ex. Flex Builder).

Seeing that Acrobat is becoming more and more a hub of collaboration I think that it would be beneficial to have a chat capability as part of the basic functionality of the Acrobat family of products. Maybe the chat client is an AIR application that can tie into Reader and Acrobat to leverage their capabilites when necessary.  An example of this would be functionality enabled by Microsofts chat application which allows the exchangeof files though the chat interface.  For Acrobat users, I'm thinking that people would kick off collaboration sessions like shared review, or 1 to 1 connect sessions by first reaching out to their potential collaboration partner with an Acrobat chat message, then if the other person is ready to engage in collaboraion they could kick off the meeting or the shared review by clicking a button in the Acrobat chat UI.  Incorporating chat into the Acrobat family would also give users the ability to have one less application on their desktops, thereby simplifying th
