I would like to bring this matter to your attention, since I am unable to obtain any assistance from Adobe Technical Support.

Recently, I purchased Adobe InDesign CS4 to use to submit a book to www.Createspace.com for publication. The book was reviewed by Createspace and returned for inclusion of page numbers. Straight-forward, simple, an easy fix.

Attempting to insert page numbers in the book using InDesign CS4, resulted a two computer crashes, the loss of the entire book file, and corruption of the back-up files. Unbelievable, but true. A complete book, almost ready for publication... lost.

Calls to to Adobe leave me waiting two hours for technical support to answer, and after two hours of waiting, I hang up.

So, to summarize, I paid a lot of money for a product which destroyed several months work, crashed my computer several times, and no technical support exists for the product. Surely this kind of performance with destroy Adobe.

Ok, I really like Acrobat.com, but yet again its half a solution, I want one system that does it all. I like Apple because everything works together, and I like CS4 because everything plays nicely.

As a designer I'm after a Full Project Management System, I think all the bits are about they just need putting into one easy, customizable web app.

Take a bit of Version Cue, add a little Acrobat.com with a pinch of Google Docs, a pinch a File Maker, mix with CS4, then bake online adding a database to taste. Server with a side of (Gridiron's) Flow!

My dream system would:

be online
be secure
manage project planning
manage costs / times
manage files / version
client / supplier information

Your thoughts please!
