Fortune Brainstorm: GREEN wants your ideas on Energy and the Environment

It's time to go back to the one commodity that was a staple of the American economy for years.  Grow commercial hemp.  Hemp can be used for biofuel, rope & a thousand other commodities.  If you check Henry Ford incorporated those ideas with Diesel back in the early 1900's.  Until the oil producers convinced their buddies in government that it was an evil plant.  The answers for diversity has always been here, it's just that a chosen few decide what best for their pockets.

The House has passed the Waxman Markey bill that sets limits on greenhouse gas and provides for a system to trade carbon credits. The Senate takes it up this fall. While some provisions in the bill have been watered down, Congress will eventually pass a bill that will meaningfully tackle climate change.
