Connect should be available as a desktop app, where the user uses it as a Communication tool just like skype. The main emphasis there can be on the VOIP and Camera quality. Users can be asked to buy minutes after a certain trial period, and providing the users ISD mins at the lowest rates can be the USP of the app.

For marketing purposes, we would like to capture some information about our meeting attendees without going through the formal set-up of an event registration page.
Ideally, we should be able to ask meeting participant to fill-in a couple of fields like email address, company name, company size before getting into the meeting.
This data would then be available as part of the attendance report for the meeting.

Currently, if a guest enter a meeting room, the only identity he/she has is the string entered while entering the meeting.
There should be some support to get guest entering a meeting to authenticate themselves. This authentication can well be done outside the realm of Connect's internal authentication e.g. by using any openID provider, facebook connect, oAuth, etc.
This would enable a stronger trust relation about the guest that entered the meeting being authentic

When I start a recording, it just asks me for the name of the recording however the url is generated by a Connect which of format http:// server-name/r96589742674. This url is not human readable nor memorizable.
Hence if i want to make my recordings available to wider audience, the url is obfuscated and can not be remembered by any one.
When we create a meeting we are given option to specify customURL name for the recording, if the same can be done for recording that would be great. Even an option to change the URL later would do wonders if not at runtime in meeting.

Provide an infrastructure whereby when two or more Connect Servers are installed there is an option to have all of the data located inside the database (SQL or Oracle if it is offered in the future) and utilize the replication technology or scripting environment that allows for automatic replication of meeting information data as well as end user meeting data. When a server goes into failover mode, the data is already replicated and end-users will not realize they are running on the other server.
The focus is to move Adobe Connect toward a fully automatic enterprise environment that takes into consideration failover, load balancing and redundancy so customers do not have to design these options themselves. Allowing customers the option to immediately scale more servers and have the data populate to those new servers makes this a highly enterprise ready environment.

IBM Lotus Sametime Connect is the Lotus Instant Messaging client. Lotus Sametime Connect has a 50-70% corporate instant messaging install base/market share of corporate instant messaging systems in place today. It was the first secure IM platform and is in use at many corporate and some government accounts. Last year it had a larger install base than Microsoft OCS for instant messaging. Integrating with that client similar to Microsoft OCS would be the desirable offering. Many Microsoft shops went with Sametime for IM because of the cost comparison with MS and because the feature set was much more complete including better integration with Outlook than OCS does. It is also much less costly and does not require specific Office versions for full functionality.

User should be able to open a YouTube video URL in Connect Meeting. Video should play in full quality for every user directly from YouTube. I should be able to pause, seek (navigate to different parts of the video) and same should reflect for all users. This could be extended to other online video sites, live streaming as well.
User should be able to point to a PS.com, flickr, Picasa web album and share photos with people in the mtg.

Due to the complexity of teleconference systems and user errors and other factors, I'd like to request that there is a dial pad included in the Universal Voice feature that is present in the meeting room. This would allow for additional DTMF tones to be sent to the teleconferencing systems, in case there are any errors in the profile/provider. Also, it seems constricting to have profiles matched with a meeting room, and not easily switched or added at the last minute. In a real world scenario, many users are left out in the cold because they forgot to pair their profile with the meeting before they started the meeting. This causes issues, because the process of pairing a profile with a meeting takes a minimum of 15 minutes (if the meeting is already open - it must be closed and wait for a refresh)
I would like to see profiles used more dynamically. In the meeting, a host should be able to have a universal voice menu. This menu would allow them to start a teleconference with thei More...

To increase the use of Adobe Connect within our organization, we would like to ensure our users can log in Connect either via Single Sign-on (using LDAP credential) when they are within the firewall and using a 2 factor authentication when they are outside of the firewall that is similar to how they log to all other corporate applications.
